 FIR was also registered against one




 




 Khabre TV - 9334598481 - Shubham's report - Today Nalanda District Magistrate Shri Shashank Shubhankar reviewed the cases of crop residue burning.

 In the course of the review, it was told by the District Agriculture Officer that during this period the registration of 48 farmers who burnt crop residues on the portal of Agriculture Department has been stopped for 3 years and in one case, due to burning of crop residues, loss of life, malls in the environment.  An FIR has been registered for deliberately causing pollution.

 The District Magistrate directed that those farmers, who have been deliberately burning their crop residues even in the last years, should be informed by registering an FIR against them.  Taking quick action on the incident of burning of crop residue, action should be taken to cancel the registration of farmers.  If negligence is being done by the field personnel in this, then departmental action should also be initiated immediately after identifying them.  Under any circumstances, all possible measures should be taken to prevent the occurrence of crop residue burning.
