 Alok Azad, President of All India Education Forum, today asked Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Education Minister to increase the salary of four lakh teachers and librarians of Bihar by 15 percent and to remove the salary discrepancy of teachers and librarians of different districts of Bihar.  The reason has been demanded to save the teachers from mental harassment.


 Alok Azad said that in the name of honorable salary increase with teachers and librarians employed following the instructions of the government with service even during the Corona period on the instructions of the government and to bring all the schemes of the government to the school level.  We do the work of the government, but the government always works to implicate us in the matters of salary increase.


 This time the government and the education department had said that 15 percent salary increase of employed teachers and librarians would be fixed through online software, after which the salary discrepancy of employed teachers and librarians of entire Bihar would be removed.  The claims of the government seem hollow. Data of untrained teachers is not even being uploaded in any district.

 Alok Azad said that whether it is Saran district or Darbhanga district, different online fixation is being done in all the districts.  For example, the case of Saran district.  The salary of teacher Pradeep Kumar Pandey, appointed on 26 February 2016, is being made Rs 26100, while Ajay Kumar Jha, appointed two days before in Saran on 24 February 2016, is getting Rs 25330 as revised basic pay on 1.1.2022.  It is incomprehensible to reduce the salary of the teacher appointed two days ago by Rs 770. Which is wrong. Similarly, the Librarian of Saran district, Roshan Kumar Karn, who was appointed on 3 November 2014.


 His salary and the salary of Pradeep Kumar Pandey, appointed on 26 February 2016, is equal to Rs 26100 on 1.1.2022.  In the meantime, the revised basic pay of Pammi Kumari, appointed on February 20, 2014, is being made Rs 26890. Similarly, the fixation of Pankaj Kumar Chaudhary, a teacher appointed on August 28, 2015 in Darbhanga, is being made Rs 26890 on 1.1.2022. Thus in Darbhanga year  The salary of a teacher appointed in 2015 will be Rs 790 more than that of a teacher appointed in the year 2014 in the table.

 Similarly, the revised basic pay of a teacher of Siwan appointed on 17th August 2010 is 26890, while the revised basic pay of a teacher appointed on 25th March 2010 in Patna is 27710. There are thousands of such cases.

 How can it be possible that the salary of the teacher appointed in 2014 and the teacher appointed in 2016 becomes equal and the salary of the teacher appointed in 2015 will be Rs 790 more than both of them. When the increment takes place every year.  The salary of Roshan Kumar Karna, appointed in 2016, should have been more than that of Pradeep Kumar Upadhyay, but here the online software has made the salary of teachers appointed in 2015 more than that of teachers appointed in 2014 and 2016.  Joki is completely wrong in spite of being fixed with online software.


 Alok Azad said that along with this, teachers and librarians are also facing a loss of three percent salary increase.  Whereas the government has decided to increase the basic pay by 15% in agreement with the teachers union during the strike.  Whereas the Education Department has put four lakh employed teachers and librarians of Bihar at a loss by considering the annual increment date as January 1, 2022, considering it only as a salary reform.  Tax fixation software should be introduced for the employed teachers and librarians of entire Bihar so that there can be uniformity in the fixation of teachers and librarians of different districts.
