The land records of the people settled in the entire hilly area are being checked. For this, 17 revenue officials have been given responsibility by forming separate teams. Notices are being issued to illegally settled people. An encroachment suit will be initiated against such people.
Important instructions were given regarding strict implementation and compliance of the Prohibition Act. Keeping the sample of confiscated liquor safe, it was asked to ensure proper and speedy destruction of the remaining stock.
Direction was also given to ensure proper and speedy auction of seized vehicles. The District Magistrate said that the right of hearing the cases to forfeit the seized vehicles has also been given to all the Sub-Divisional Officers and the Deputy Collector of Land Reforms, so that the hearing process of the cases can be expedited.
In the cases registered under the Central Prohibition Act, the chargesheet was compulsorily asked to be filed within the prescribed time limit.
It was also asked to ensure action under CCA against hardcore criminals involved in illegal liquor manufacturing/trading/consumption.
DPM Jeevika was directed to send a proposal for the provision of sustainable livelihood scheme in urban areas also to provide alternative sources of livelihood.
It was asked to ensure the provision of permanent breath analyzer testing in such areas.
