 KHABRE TV - 9334598481 - Aditya's report - Captain (IN) Naveen Krishna Chandra, the new Principal of Sainik School Nalanda, Silav, Nanand, has duly assumed his charge.  It is to be known that due to promotion of outgoing Principal Colonel Tamojit Biswas to the post of Brigadier, the said post was getting vacant.  On the arrival of the new Principal Captain (IN) Naveen Krishna Chandra, the outgoing Principal Col. Tamojit Biswas welcomed in the traditional manner and handed over his assignment.

 Capt.. (IN) Naveen Krishna Chandra, a distinguished, hardworking and combative military officer, is a native of Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh.  He did his early education in Telugu medium.  He is a post graduate in chemistry as well as M.Tech. from the Institute of Technology (IIT) of Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, and a post-graduate in meteorology, as well as an M. Phil degree in satellite meteorology in the year 2014.  Captain (IN) Naveen Krishna Chandra received Permanent Commission in the Education Branch of the Indian Navy in the year 2003.  Your first posting was at INS Chilka and prior to his contribution, the Command Mate Officer was posted at Western Naval Headquarters Mumbai.  He has rendered important services as the founder and director of the Indian Naval Meteorological Analysis Unit (INMAC), a weather operations unit at Kochi, located in the state of Kerala, as well as various naval units.  Be aware that during the Common Wealth Games held in the year 2010, you were selected to provide location specific weather forecasts.  He has received the Citation from the Chief of the Naval Staff twice in the year 2013 and 2018 respectively for his remarkable services.

 After assuming the post of Principal, he said that I will leave no stone unturned in carrying forward the dignified tradition of this school as the principal, with my entire team in the fulfillment of the purpose for which this school has been established.  I will work tirelessly and with the help of Bihar government will carry forward the glorious tradition of Sainik School.  Due to the transfer of outgoing Vice Principal Wing Commander PS Gujral, the new Vice Principal of the school, Wing Commander JS Ujjwal has also taken over his charge on the vacant post.
