  Khabre TV : 9334598481 : Er Shiv Kumar Report : Former Chief Justice of Patna High Court and Chancellor of Hyderabad Central University Mr. L. Narasimha Reddy delivered a Distinguished Lecture at Nalanda University this Thursday (10-11-2022).  He commended the Vice-Chancellor for the rapid growth and development of this international university.  The students and teachers of the University were benefitted by his scholarly lectures on 'Law, Justice and Education'.


  Justice Shri Narasimha Reddy in his address said that "the true values ​​of law and justice can be understood only through right education".  Referring to the indigenous sources that formed the modern concept of Nyaya, he referred to ancient texts like Vedas and Nyaya Shastras.  He also presented a comparative account of the concepts of these texts of the Oriental tradition with Greek and Roman theories of justice.  He emphasized that law and justice are based on their contextual and contemporary moral values.


  In his presidential address, Vice Chancellor Professor Sunaina Singh underlined the purpose of Nalanda and underlined the importance of creating harmony through intellectual means.  The Vice Chancellor said that "transformation of information and facts into knowledge through education is necessary for justice. Education frees us from misconceptions and teaches to respect constitutional rules."


  Appreciating the educational vision of Nalanda University, Justice Reddy congratulated the Vice-Chancellor and appreciated the efforts made for the revival of the ancient knowledge traditions in present-day Nalanda.  For centuries Nalanda has been a symbol of Asian wisdom.  The University in its new avatar is once again getting ready to start its journey of knowledge.
