#khabreTv : Rajgir, Nalanda (December 01, 2025): Nalanda University has initiated a significant endeavor in the field of sustainable development and climate leadership. The ‘Executive Certificate Course in Net-Zero Strategy’ will now be held as a five-day residential program from December 25 to 29, 2025, at the university's Net-Zero Campus in Rajgir.


This course will help prepare experienced professionals, government officials, corporate personnel, and young leaders to contribute to tackling challenges such as climate change, energy conservation, and effective resource management. This program will play a crucial role in advancing the goal of Net-Zero India.


Designed keeping in mind the tradition of Nalanda University and a modern scientific approach, the program will provide participants with intensive training on subjects such as energy, water, waste management, mobility, and behavioral change. It will include design thinking workshops, case studies, AI-enabled sustainability tools, campus visits and expert dialogues, which will provide practical knowledge and experience.


This Executive Course is being organized in collaboration with C-NEXT (Center for Net Zero Education, Exchange, and Transformation) and Environmental Design Solutions (EDS). This course has been prepared keeping these modern and practical requirements in mind so that we can make future leaders more skilled and empowered.


Speaking about this new course, Vice Chancellor Professor Sachin Chaturvedi said, "In today's global context, achieving Net-Zero goals has become a paramount challenge. In such a scenario, the development of leadership is extremely essential, which is not just limited to technical knowledge but can also bring about practical and cultural change within institutions.” 


The main features of this Executive Net-Zero Course are as follows;

• Scientific understanding of Net-Zero, policies, and global commitments

• Energy efficiency, renewable energy, and smart grid integration

• Techniques for water conservation, recycling, and sustainable water management

• Strategies for waste reduction, reuse, and resource recovery

• Sustainable solutions through behavioral and cultural change

• Preparing the Net-Zero roadmap, baseline setting, and monitoring

• Implementable executive strategies for real-life application
