(Khabare TV - 9334598481, 9523505786) - Under the State Government's Seven Determinants Part-2, water to every farm has been determined as an important decision.
For the implementation of this decision, by surveying all the fields, those fields which are completely rain-fed for irrigation will be identified.
This survey work is being done by the Irrigation Department in collaboration with the Farmers Advisor and Agriculture Coordinator of the Agriculture Department as well as the local revenue personnel. The Assistant Engineer / Junior Engineer posted to the Irrigation Department has been nominated as the nodal officer for each block.
Through the survey, such areas will be identified which are completely dependent on rain water for irrigation. A statement including account / Khesra of all the farms in these areas will be prepared.
After the survey, an appropriate plan will be prepared by the Irrigation Department to create a suitable source of irrigation for the fields in these areas.
In the creation of sources of irrigation, first all options will be considered and irrigation through surface water will be given priority. If there is any river / canal / pan etc. from the east, then a plan will be prepared for the creation of source of irrigation through construction and renovation of wear / check dam on it. As a final option, irrigation will be planned through tubewells for the use of ground water. 

Nalanda District Magistrate Mr. Yogendra Singh held a meeting with the officials of various departments related to the implementation of the survey work.
The District Agricultural Officer was directed to provide active support in this survey work. Panchayat level personnel of Panchayati Raj department were also asked to give active support in survey work. Necessary training is being arranged for all the concerned block level officials for survey work.
After the block level training, the District Magistrate also directed the Panchayat level personnel to ensure necessary training in this regard. He also asked for arrangements for orientation in this regard for all Panchayat level public representatives and instructed them to take all possible active support in survey work.
Additional Collector, Superintending Engineer Irrigation Shri Vimal Kumar, District Panchayat Raj Officer, District Agriculture Officer, Executive Engineer Irrigation / Minor Irrigation / Power etc. and other concerned officials were present in the meeting.
