Divisional Commissioner Patna Mr. Sanjay Kumar Aggarwal and Inspector General of Police Patna In order to ensure effective arrangements for monitoring, inspection and control of crime incidents, all the District Magistrates of the Division, along with other Superintendents of Police, Superintendent of Police, Traffic SP, Municipal Commissioner and other officials met through video conferencing in the office auditorium.

CCTV is very effective in crime research / curbing.

The commissioner said that through CCTV, it is possible to get authentic, transparent and effective research of crime incidents in a quick manner and the cases are detected at the right time in a fast pace. Therefore, it is mandatory to install CCTV in apartments, commercial complexes, banks, jewelery shops, petrol pumps and hospitals.

16808 CCTV installation.
Instructions given to review those who are not working / non-working and not installing and to make progress through continuous monitoring.

So far 16808 CCTVs have been installed at the divisional level. Out of this, CCTVs have been installed in 15122 apartments, 1345 malls, 341 police stations. The commissioner directed all the District Magistrate and the Senior Superintendent of Police / Superintendent of Police and the Municipal Commissioner to conduct a thorough check-up regarding the correct location of CCTV to be operational and correct. Also, instructed to review and monitor progress of CCTV cameras every month by installing / activating / non-working and identifying places which do not install CCTV.

The Commissioner directed all DM SPs to meet with the Deputy Superintendent of Police and review the progress of CCTV installed at the police station / OP and bring the progress. Also instructed to continuously monitor the status of working / non-working of pre-installed CCTVs at Police Stations / OPs.


Instructions to provide list of Thanavar apartments to Municipal Corporation

The Divisional Commissioner has directed the Municipal Commissioner to prepare a list of status apartments and commercial complexes under each police station area and provide them without any delay. Also asked to clarify the condition of the CCTV camera being installed / not installed in the apartment. He directed each police station in-charge to inspect the functioning of the installation CCTV camera in the apartments located in their respective areas. The SHO was directed to install adequate number of CCTV cameras in the apartment and ensure its functioning.



Complaints are being received from the apartment society.
CCTV mandatory for strong security system.

The Divisional Commissioner said that CCTV is very essential for the safety of the people living in the apartment and the surroundings. Sometimes there are complaints by the flat owners that the apartment does not have proper security arrangements. Therefore, it is necessary to install CCTV with location on the entrance of the apartment, exit gate, near stair lift, parking, location on each floor and gate. He said that not only installation of CCTV is necessary but its functionality is also necessary. Its accountability will be that of the society there.


The Commissioner emphasized the need for CCTV at the entry and exit doors of all banks, for this, the District Magistrate and the Senior Superintendent of Police / Superintendent of Police had a meeting with the Lead Bank Manager to ensure this.


In addition, installation of CCTV in the hospital has been directed at the petrol pump, jewelery shop, for this, the District Magistrate and the Senior Superintendent of Police / Superintendent of Police have been directed to ensure that all the sub-divisional officers and sub-divisional police officers meet. Asked to ensure effective monitoring.
