(Khabre TV - 9523505786) - Bharat Net (Bharat Broadband Network Limited) has been established as a telecom infrastructure provider by the Department of Telecommunications, Government of India. Through this, internet facility is being provided in all gram panchayats of India under the National Optical Fiber Network.
In the district, work is being done in a phased manner to provide internet facility in gram panchayats through Bharat Net.
The Nalanda District Officer held a meeting with all concerned agencies to review these works.
It was told by the agency that till now it has been made live by delivering optic fiber in 46 gram panchayats. So far 21 have been completed against the target of 128 for the facility of WiFi hotspot. The target of 77 connections has been met against the target of 256 in Gram Panchayats for FTTH connections.
The District Officer directed to ensure swift action to achieve the set target.
If the cable is damaged due to the work done by any other agency, then the concerned agency was instructed to provide its immediate information at the district level.
The representatives of the agency engaged in this work were directed to provide reports related to the completion of the work regularly.
Under the Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyan, employment is also being provided to the local people through this work.
Engineers of BSNL and representatives of the agency were present in the meeting along with Deputy Development Commissioner, District Panchayati Raj Officer.
