The use of masks is mandatory for personnel and passengers in all public transport vehicles. It is the responsibility of the vehicle owner / operator. Those violating it will be subject to monetary penalty under the Motor Vehicle Act.
Compulsory use of masks and physical distancing is to be ensured in all shops, establishment offices etc. It will be the responsibility of the Director / Head of the concerned establishment / office. Action will also be taken to close the establishment / office for violation.
For strict compliance of these instructions, today the District Officer and Superintendent of Police held a meeting with all the Sub-Divisional Officers, Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Block Development Officer, Medical Officer Incharge, Station Incharge etc. through video conferencing.
All the officials were instructed to continue checking at public places in their respective areas. It was directed to impose penalties against those who did not use masks. The operators of the shop / establishment will ensure compliance with the use of masks as well as physical distancing. Otherwise, action will also be taken to close their shop establishment.
The District Transport Officer was instructed to carry out continuous checking operations in public transport vehicles.
The officers of the corporation / body in the municipal corporation / municipal body area will also ensure compliance with these instructions.
