(Khabre TV - 9334598481, 9523505786) - Under the Ganga Jal Uddhav Yojana, the project of carrying Ganga water through the pipeline to Ghoda Katora and Gaya district of Nalanda district during the rainy season is being expedited by the irrigation department.
Today, Principal Secretary of Irrigation Department, Shri Chaitanya Prasad inspected the entire pipeline from Maranchi to Ghoda Katora of Maranchi in Patna district and saw progress.
A 107 km long pipeline is being laid under this project. Through which in the rainy season the surplus Ganges water will be stored in the artificial reservoirs under construction in Ghoda Katora and Gaya district of Nalanda district through pipeline.
The Principal Secretary directed to expedite the work of laying the pipeline. Wherever there is a land related issue, it was asked to ensure quick diagnosis under the prescribed procedure.
In the course of inspection, the Principal Secretary also reviewed the progress of work at the artificial reservoir site under construction at Ghoda Katora and directed the engineers of the department to expedite the work.
The target of completing this project by September 2021 has been set by the department.
The land acquisition required for the project has been expedited by the district administration Nalanda. In some sections, the process of acquiring additional required land for laying pipelines is being done at a rapid pace.
On this occasion District Collector Mr. Yogendra Singh, District Land Acquisition Officer Vikas Kumar, Irrigation Department's Senior Engineer, Superintending Engineer, Executive Engineer and Sensor's representative were present.
