Khabre Tv - 9334598481 - Anurag Sharma's report - By holding a meeting in the auditorium of the Hilsa (Nalanda) local city council, it has been decided to impose a complete ban on plastic carry bags from December 15. While addressing the businessmen involved in the meeting, city manager Manish Kumar said that plastic use is banned while taking initiative in the direction of environmental protection, but due to lack of compliance, its use continues indiscriminately.
This time the government law will be strictly followed so that the city can become plastic free. He said that there is a provision for severe punishment to those who violate the law. From December 15, a continuous raiding operation will be conducted. Addressing the meeting, social worker cum brand ambassador of Municipal Council Dr. Ashutosh Kumar Manav said that we should all have the responsibility of saving the environment. He said that the Bihar Government, through gazette notification number 943, has completely banned the use of plastic carry bags in the limits of all municipal bodies and village panchayats. In exercise of the powers conferred by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change under Section 23 of the Environment Protection Act, 1986, the Government of India has banned all types of single use plastic.
Shri Manav called upon all the businessmen and the residents of the city with mutual cooperation, by following the above law, introduce civilized citizens and play an important role in getting rid of pollution. Be aware that apart from all single-use plastics, cutlery made of thermocol such as plates, thali, cups, glasses, bowls etc. is also completely banned. Besides the city manager, Baiju Kumar, Devanand Prasad, Vikrant Kumar, Shiv Kumar, Gopal Prasad, Manish Kumar, Aman Kumar, Ravindra Prasad, Dharamveer Kumar, Sonu Kumar, Avinash Kumar and dozens of shopkeepers and NP workers were present in the meeting.
