(KHABRE TV - 9334598481, 9523505786) - Nalanda District Officer Shri Yogendra Singh today inspected the site of Black Rice cultivation done by the innovative farmer Shri Ram Pravesh in Mundipur of Ongari Panchayat, Ekangar Sarai Block.
Black rice is rich in medicinal properties. It contains low amount of sugar along with antioxidants, which is beneficial for diabetic patient.
Paddy of this species has been cultivated by Shri Rampravesh through biological means. Their seeds have been brought from Manipur by them.
The district officer also asked other farmers to encourage them to cultivate paddy of this species.
On this occasion, District Agricultural Officer, District Horticulture Officer, Block Development Officer, Farmer farmer Shri Ram Pravesh and other officials were present.
