 KHABRE TV : 9334598481 : Aditya reports with the bureau team : The Lumbini Buddhist University of Nepal had invited Prof. Sunaina Singh, the Vice Chancellor of Nalanda University, to address its second convocation.  During her visit, Vice Chancellor Prof. Sunaina Singh held discussions with the Prime Minister of Nepal, Mr. Sher Bahadur Deuba, who is also the Chancellor of Lumbini Buddhist University, to strengthen cultural ties between the two countries.  She also held talks with the Minister of Education, Government of Nepal, Mr. Devendra Poudel, Education.

 Addressing the convocation ceremony, Prof.  Singh highlighted that India and Nepal are the two Asian countries that have a direct connection with the life of Buddha.  She emphasized the collective responsibility of both these countries to enrich the common cultural heritage, values ​​of life of Nepal and India for the generations to come.

 Vice Chancellor Prof.  Singh also signed a Memorandum of Understanding for academic cooperation between Nalanda University and Lumbini Buddhist University.  Nalanda University and Lumbini Buddhist University signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen the civilizational and cultural ties shared by the two countries through mutual academic cooperation and education and research.




 Established by the Government of Nepal, Lumbini Buddhist University is located in the Rupandehi district of Nepal, near the birthplace of Lord Buddha.  The aim of establishing Lumbini Buddhist University is to enrich global learning and promote world peace through Buddhist values.

 Nalanda University is evolving into a university of the future, taking significant initiatives in establishing a strong academic foundation and infrastructure.  Under the visionary leadership of the Vice-Chancellor, the University is reclaiming the lost knowledge traditions and emerging as a center of excellence attracting students from different parts of the world.
