On this occasion, Durgapur chief Rakesh Kumar honored Nalanda DM with a bouquet. DM Nalanda Yogendra Kumar Singh said that the construction of check dam under this Jal Jeevan Hariyali Yojana will benefit the farmers of this region. He informed that irrigation facility will be available in this area with the construction of this check dam. With this the water level of this area will also rise. Not only this, this scheme will also provide water for cattle to drink. The Galiak block of Nalanda is particularly affected by the drought zone, Which will get rid of to a great extent. Giriyak MNREGA PO Vandana Kumari informed that about 9 lakh 80 thousand check dams have been constructed under water life greenery in Durgapur village of Giriyak block. Due to this, the water level in this area has also increased and there will be relief in solving the problem of the farmer. DDC Rakesh Kumar, CO Chandrasekhar Kumar, DPO Bittu Kumar, Deputy Chief Arvind Singh, former Chief Sunil Kumar, among others were present on the occasion of this interaction.
