This university was an amazing piece of architecture. There was a system of reading and reading of more than 10 thousand students and there were more than 2 thousand teachers.All these students were mostly foreigners, who were mainly from Korea, Japan, China, Tibet, Indonesia, Persia, Turkey etc. There was also a huge library building for him. It is said that there were more than 3 lakh important books of knowledge in this library. Nalanda was an important and renowned center of higher education in India at that time.
In this education center of Mahayana Buddhism, students of other religions and many countries were studying along with Hinayana Buddhism. In the university, the Acharya taught the students by oral lectures. Grammar, philosophy, surgery, astrology, yoga and medical science were also under the syllabus. Scholars believe that the science of making metal sculptures was also studied here. There was a special department for astronomy studies here. The library located in this world-renowned university was nine floors, which was the center for the study of thousands of students and teachers. The credit for the discovery of the remains of this Buddhist university goes to Alexander Cunningham.
