 Khabre Tv - 9334598481 - Vasant's Report - Even after three and a half months after the order of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, angry farmers again went to the Chief Minister's court due to non-start of the work of excavation of Bargahiya Pine located at Giriyak.

 Somewhere about  The aggrieved farmers met Giriyak CO on Monday and put forth their demands.

 Victim farmers Sakuntala Devi, Prem Sagar Prasad, Sachdev, Amar, Samundri Devi, Basanti Devi said that for three consecutive months only assurance is being given by the officials.


 The officials are still adopting the attitude of procrastination by referring to the Panchayat elections.  The farmers said that the local officials had said that after the Panchayat elections, the pine excavation would be done after clearing the encroachments.  But so far no concrete action seems to have been taken in that direction.  Due to which the angry farmers met Giriyak Circle Officer Alakh Niranjan Yadav and brought Gohar.

 Here Giriyak CO said that warning notice will be given to him within 1 to two days, for the time being

 In this case, about 45 encroachers have been given notices.  Under Form-2, a notice has also been sent to about 100 encroachers to vacate the house.  These people have encroached on the middle of the pine and built a house.  Due to this the drainage of the area is blocked.

 10 acres of farmers' land has turned into a swamp.




 *what's the matter*

 There is about 10 acres of cultivable land adjacent to the Giriyak market.  Due to encroachment of pine, the dirty water of shops and houses of Giriyak market is falling in this land.  Due to this the field has become swampy.  Farmers have not been able to cultivate their land for years.  Due to which they have to bear the loss of lakhs of rupees every year.  The suffering farmers demanded a permanent solution to this problem from the local authorities several times in five years, but no solution was found, then three months ago the farmers complained to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in the Janata Darbar.  The Chief Minister directed the officials to take necessary steps at the earliest.  12 days after the order of the CM, pein was started flying from JCB for show.  But the work was left incomplete due to encroachment.



 Know why the name is Barghia Peen?

 Bargahiya was named as the main water source of 12 villages.  This pine was once the main source of water for irrigation to 12 villages.  Bargahiya Pine was spread from Panchane river to Ghosrawan for a distance of 10 to 12 kms via Adampur and Kandopur.  But in the last 5 years this pine became a victim of encroachers.  The remaining work was done by dirt, excreta and garbage.  Today pine has lost its existence in many places.
