 Khabre Tv - 9334598481 - Bureau Report - Bihar's Nalanda University is all set to be headed by the Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Education Dr. Rajkumar Ranjan Singh on today in its new avatar.


 Dr. Singh will be on a two-day visit to Nalanda University to see the progress of this unique project very close to the hearts of both the Central Government and the State Government.


 After 8 centuries of its demolition, Nalanda University is now developing as the largest net campus in the country due to the tireless efforts of Vice Chancellor Professor Sunaina Singh with the guidance and support of External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.




 Bihar Chief Minister Shri Kumar has made available 455 acres of land in the picturesque foothills of Rajgir hills for Nalanda University. Shri Kumar's thinking behind this is not only to revive the glorious tradition of creating a knowledge society, but also through his mantra of water, life, greenery.  To maintain harmony with nature.


 With the new approach of Nalanda, guided by the ancient Indian indigenous energy model, has shown the way for the construction of a permanent campus, due to the persistent efforts and hard work of Professor Singh, 80% of the construction work in the university has been completed in just 3 years,  Which is an example in itself. In the last 3 years, not only the hard infrastructure has been developed in the university, but 6 schools and 12 academic programs have been started and the soft infrastructure has also been increased.




 About 200 Net Zero Energy Building is on the verge of completion with an aim to address the energy crisis and preserve our environment for the future generation.  More importantly, the university did not allow its academic program and construction work to stop despite the devastating impact of COVID-19,


 This was the reason that all the courses in the university could be completed on time and now it has become one of the diverse campuses of more than 30 nationalities, the visit of the Union Minister Dr.  It is believed that Dr. Singh himself is an educationist and a great advocate of harmony with nature and innovative approach.


 His visit will not only infuse new energy among students of diverse nationalities, but will also provide an opportunity for Team Nalanda to evaluate progress and chart a course of action for the future.



 Dr Singh's visit also reflects the commitment of the Government of India and the Ministry of External Affairs towards the ancient center of knowledge,

 Nalanda University will become an exemplary example as a model of carbon neutral and zero-waste campus, Nalanda University being a nodal agency for linking educational institutions of ASEAN countries through the ASEAN-India Network of Universities, India's "Act  East " will play an important role in the policy.  This is the first ministerial visit of Dr. Rajkumar Ranjan Singh after coming into the new avatar of the university.
