 On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti at Sainik School Nalanda in Nalanda district, social media platforms are a threat to democracy.

 Khabre Tv -9334598481 - Bureau Report - English debate competition was organized on this topic.  Shri Vaibhav Kumar Srivastava, Deputy Development Commissioner Nalanda was the chief guest on this occasion.

 The program was started in the school auditorium.  Where the chief guest and other invited guests and participants were welcomed in a traditional way after lighting the lamp by the chief guest.

 In this competition 6 schools run by CBSE of Nalanda district namely DAV Public School, Power Grid, Bihar Sharif, Sadar Alam Memorial School, Bihar Sharif, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Ordnance Factory Nalanda, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Rajgir, PT  A total of 12 participants including JM Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Rajgir and Sainik School, Nalanda participated.

 In the competition, Dr. Shrikant Singh, Head of Department, Department of English, Nava Nalanda Mahavihar, Dr. Satrupa Sen, Associate Professor and Dr. Srisha Udapa, Assistant Professor, International Nalanda University were included in the jury.

 It may be noted that Colonel Tamojit Biswas, Principal of Sainik School Nalanda, had established a rolling trophy for the district level English debate competition for the school level students of Nalanda district on 15th August last.

 In this competition, Sainik School Nalanda, Ashutosh Kumar was given the best speaker award, Sainik School Nalanda got first, and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Rajgir second, and DAV Public School Power Grid Bihar Sharif got third place in the competition.

 On this occasion, books of Malayala Manorama Publications were presented as gifts to all the participants and the principals of the participating schools.  In his address, Chief Guest Shri Vaibhav Kumar Srivastava while highlighting the importance of such participants said that,

 Debate is such a skill of speech, in which the reasoning power of the speaker is developed.  He learns the art of effectively presenting various subjects in his favor before the audience.  He said that organizing such competitions is very necessary for the all round development of the students.

 Earlier in the morning session of Gandhi Jayanti celebrations at Sainik School Nalanda, Wing Commander, A Pradeep Reddy, Commanding Officer, No 10 Year Man Selection Center Behta addressed the military students of Sainik School Nalanda.  Throwing light on the life of his father of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi, in his address, he said,

 Every dimension of Bapu's life is a source of inspiration for today's era.  He said that we should learn from the leadership of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi.  How the saint of Sabarmati, doing wonders, had created such a big movement against the British.

 He inspired the military students to enter the various types of services and the Indian Air Force.

 Also on this occasion the Principal of Sainik School Nalanda including Colonel Tamojit Biswas, Principal of all participating schools, Vice Principal of Sainik School Nalanda, Wing Commander PS Gujral, Administrative Officer, Major Agar Chand,

 There was a dignified presence of all military students including media personnel, all teachers and administrative personnel.

 The facilitators of the debate program were Rohit and Priyanshu, military students of Sainik School.

 The entire program was edited by military students of class XII, the same vote of thanks was done by military student Devanshu.
