According to the new guidelines of Disaster Management Department, now only migrant workers coming from Category / A state / city / district will be housed in the Quarantine Center. People coming from other places will be sent for 21 days of home quarantine after registration and screening.

(KHABRE TV - 9523505786) - Based on the study of the result of random sample testing of migrant workers coming to Bihar from other states, a new guideline has been issued by the Disaster Management Department to keep the migrant workers in quarantine.
Based on the updated guideline, the most affected states, cities and districts have been placed in category 'A'. Migrants from these areas will be compulsorily kept in the quarantine for 14 days at the block and panchayat level quarantine center. People coming from areas other than category 'A' will be sent home for 21 days home quarantine after their registration and screening. Self declaration related to compliance with home quarantine will be taken from them.
Entire Maharashtra Pradesh under category 'A' for Nalanda district; Delhi; Gurugram, Faridabad, Noida and Ghaziabad districts of NCR; The cities of Surat, Ahmedabad, Baroda, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Jaipur, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Kolkata, Howrah, Agra, Kanpur, Kurnool, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Amritsar, Sonipat and Ranchi have been included. Migrants coming from these places will be compulsorily kept at the block and panchayat level quarantine center for 14 days. After completing the quarantine period, non-symptomatic migrants will be sent to their home for a 7-day home quarantine. In addition, migrants from other areas will be sent home for 21 days of home quarantine after registration and screening.
Migrants who have come earlier from places with category 'A' who are housed in separate buildings in the quarantine center, will be sent to their home for home quarantine after their medical screening.
Where expatriates coming from both categories of sites are housed in the same building, they will be released for home quarantine only after the completion of their 14-day quarantine period.

 

As per the data received till 6:00 pm on May 19, a total of 22693 migrants visited the various Quarantine Centers in the district. Of which 3004 migrants have been delisted from center to home quarantine after completion of their quarantine period. By the time reported, 19689 expatriates resided at various quarantine centers. After the arrival of migrants and completing the quarantine period, the process of discord continues.
Today the District Officer held a meeting with all the Block Development Officers through video conferencing to arrange to keep the migrants in the Quarantine Center / Home Quarantine as per the new guidelines of the Disaster Management Department.
All the officials were clearly told that the concerned Block Development Officer and his team are responsible for the entire arrangement for the people residing at any level of Quarantine Center. Each person was instructed to ensure the provision of breakfast kits and food as per the standard operating procedure of the disaster management department along with the due kit and other payable items. Special attention was given to the provision of quarantine centers set up at the panchayat and village level.
In the meeting, Deputy Development Commissioner, senior in-charge officer of all blocks and all block development officers were connected through video conferencing.
