On the occasion of Florence Nightingale's 200th Birthday, International Nurses Day was celebrated with great pomp on Tuesday in the hospital premises of Vardhman Institute of Medical Sciences, Pawapuri.

 

(KHABRE TV - 9523505786 ) - On this occasion, the health workers of Vims remembered her by placing a flower garland on her photo, telling them that the Nightingale of Florence was the founder of Modern Nursing. He trained nurses to many women during the war, and also treated many soldiers. In particular she was known as "Lady with the Lamp" as she used to treat many soldiers at night. In his honor, on May 12 every year, International Nurses Day is celebrated all over the world .

 

On this occasion, Principal of Vimes- Dr. PK Chaudhary said that no one can ignore the role of nurses in hospital healthcare. Nurses have a major role in the recovery of seriously hospitalized patients. He said that nurses are playing a very important role in the present-day corona epidemic. They are busy in treating patients by playing their lives. On this occasion Sangeeta Kumari, Reena Kumari Aditi Sinha, Ranjana Kumari, Kumari Rita Sinha, Kumari Jyoti of Vims Nurses Association threw light on the biography of nurse Florence Nightingale.


He said like Florence Nightingale our duty is to serve the patients. The nurse performs her duties responsibly. A large number of nurses of the hospital were present on this occasion including Hospital Superintendent- Dr. Gyanbhusan, Dr. Ashok Kumar, Professor of BSC Nursing College- Kishore Singh Rathore, Sangeeta Kumar, Santosh Kumar.
