In Oyab village of Asthawan police station area, the old man was beaten to death by his own family members in a quarrel .


(KHABRE TV - 9523505786) - The villagers said that the deceased 60-year-old Rampreet Ravidas used to drink tardi daru everyday and used to abuse his family members in the house. Due to which the family members got upset, around 9 am on Sunday, the drunk came into the house and started committing a commotion, after which all the members present in the house beat up the elderly badly.


After the situation became serious, he died on the way in order to bring the elderly to Biharsharif for treatment. The deceased has six children. Every householder is in life. All the people stay outside and work as laborers. Everyone is here because of the lock down. The deceased is originally from Ibrahimpur in Asthawan police station. He came to this village about 15 years ago.
Station in-charge Santosh Kumar told that the corpse has been sent for post-mortem. Family members have not yet recorded the statement. Raids are being conducted to arrest the accused sons .
