District officer inspected the site of Nalanda-Islampur road and JAL JIVAN HARIYALI under construction.
District officer Yogendra Singh inspected the site of the Nalanda-Wayne-Islampur road under construction today.
Construction of this path was being done fast before the lock down, but the work stopped during the period of lock dawn. The work has been started after getting the relaxation of the lock down again.
This road, which is 12 meters wide and about 30 kilometers in length from Naval Nalanda Mahavihar to Wayne via Islampur, is being constructed by the Divisional Construction Division Division Hilsa. The road has about one and a half kilometers of earthwork remaining. The District Officer directed Executive Engineer Path Division Hilsa to complete the remaining work of Earth work in this month. Instructions were also given to expedite other works.
He directed the Executive Engineer Path Division Hilsa to assess all the resources for the construction of this road and determine the revised time frame for various stage works.
Executive Engineer Hilsa and other engineers and representatives of the construction agency were present during the inspection.
In the course of their field visits, the District Officer also inspected the site of Saure Pond and Pan Renovation Scheme under Jal Jeevan Hariyali Abhiyan in Wayne Block.
This scheme costing about Rs 2 crore is being implemented by the Department of Minor Irrigation. The work is started when the work is relieved after the work is closed in the lock down period. The District Officer directed the Executive Engineer Minor Irrigation to expedite the work through additional resources. Executive Engineer Rajesh Kumar, Assistant Engineer Ashok Kumar, construction agency representative and local public representative were present in the order of inspection.
