He was first remembered by placing a wreath on the portrait of Gandhi and Shastri at the RCC center at SU College East Gate by the Manav Samaj Sewa Sabha and Quit Gutkha Movement. During this, the speakers pledged to assimilate their thoughts in life while highlighting the biography of both great men. On the occasion, apart from social worker Ashutosh Kumar Manav, many students and youth were present, including Pawan Kumar, Rakhi Kumari, Praduman Kumar, Ganesh Kumar of Raj Computer Center. In this sequence, there was a discussion related to the relevance of Gandhi's ideas in today's environment, in which people stressed on Gandhi's adoption of the principle of true non-violence.
