For his two-point demands, President of Bihar Rural Development Services Association Prashant Kumar has sent a letter to the Chief Secretary of the Government of Bihar. Rahul Kumar, the media in-charge of the Block Development Officer cum Association of Nursarai said that in two demands of all of us, one demand to be fixed as the nodal officer of the block permanently. Media in-charge Mr. Kumar said that in the union's February 15, 2019 talk, Chief Secretary Bihar had accepted this demand and assured that the order would be issued within a week. But even after more than one year, the said order has not been issued. In today's situation, the entire task of disaster management is done by the District Magistrate in all the districts by nominating BDO as the nodal officer, there is evidence that block level work can be done by BDO. And after being nominated as nodal officer, work can be taken by BDO from other department officials and personnel.
The other demand is about the power and safety of the executive magistrate. BDO Rahul Kumar told that today it is a matter of cognizance from DM to the government that without executive magistrate power and without security guard only BDO is ready to visit the area at any time. At the same time, Sangh's general secretary cum Chandi's BDO Vishal Anand told that the officer has been named disaster incharge by the government. But in all the districts of the state, the entire work of disaster management is being done by the DM nominating BDO as the nodal officer. This is a matter of pride for Bihar Rural Service officials. All DMs can only rely on BDO for execution in times of disaster. All the Block Development Officers of the State are devoted to disaster management with their full dedication. But at this time the demand has been relevant by the Union for a long time, to which a letter has been sent to fulfill it. The copy of which has been sent to the Secretary, Rural Development Department, Government of Bihar, Additional Chief Secretary of General Administration Department, Minister and Chief Minister of Rural Development Department for necessary action.
