A meeting was organized on Friday between the physicians and students of Giriyak Vardhman Institute of Medical Sciences, Pavapuri. It was decided unanimously in the meeting that the celebration of not celebrating the college establishment day to be held on 14 April 2020 was taken and decided to donate the collected 10 lakhs of the foundation day to the Chief Minister's Medical Assistance Fund Scheme.
Let us tell you that the Chief Minister's Office recently announced the Chief Minister's Medical Assistance Fund Scheme to help the people of the country financially to overcome the epidemic named Kovid-19.
The amount received in this fund will be used to deal with the emergency arising out of the corona virus and the entire expenditure on the treatment of the state government corona virus patients. Speaking on the occasion, Principal of WIMS Dr PK Chaudhary said that VIMS is committed to helping the government in times of trouble. He said that in the meeting, he unanimously took a pledge to not celebrate the college foundation day to be held on 14 April 2020 and decided to donate the collected 10 lakh of the foundation day to the Chief Minister's Medical Assistance Fund Scheme. The cases are few, but the government is fully alert. He said that the entire Vims family also wants to do something for the people at the time of this pandemic, so there is little help from them. They are busy hoping that we will fight together and end this pandemic soon. Students including Hospital Superintendent Dr. Gyanbhusan, Deputy Superintendent Dr. Bibi Sinha, Dr. Vinod Kumar Mishra, Dr. Ashok Kumar, Dr. Avinash Kumar, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Dr. Arun Kumar, Dr. Amarjeet Kumar were present.
