District Election Officer Yogendra Singh held a meeting with all the election officials regarding preparations for the election of the assembly constituency.
(KHABRE TV - 9523505786) - District Election Officer-cum-District Officer Yogendra Singh today held a meeting with all the Election Officers (RO) of the assembly constituency through video conferencing regarding preparations.
All ROs were instructed to ensure physical verification of all polling stations and auxiliary polling stations under their respective areas. In order of verification, it was directed to ensure the assessment of AMF (Assured Minimum Facility) available at polling stations.
It was instructed to study the sex ratio, EP ratio (Elector Population Ratio) and polling percentage in the last election to ensure the necessary action for positive improvement in each electorate. All the electoral officers were instructed to ensure action through the concerned BLO to add the names of all eligible missing women to the electoral list at the polling station having less than average sex ratio.
In the last election, there was a need to pay special attention to booths with low polling percentage. Identifying the reason for the low turnout percentage, it was asked to take action through awareness campaign for maximum voters' participation. Instructions were given to ensure the execution of all claim objection applications received for adding / removing names in the voter list within the stipulated time frame.
In the context of Kovid-19, all the officials were directed to prepare an action plan for organizing sweep activities through appropriate means as per the guidelines of Election Commission of India for voter awareness.
The database of the list of personnel is being verified. The names of transferred and retired personnel are being removed from the database.
Decentralized arrangements will be made for training of polling personnel. For this, the appropriate building and other resources were assessed and asked to prepare beforehand.
M3 model EVM and VVPAT will be used in the upcoming assembly elections. In the district, EVMs are being brought from Shravasti, Balrampur and Hamirpur districts of Uttar Pradesh and VVPAT from Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh. From June 25, EVM's first level checking (FLC) work will be started by Bell's engineer.
It was asked to identify the appropriate building premises in all the assembly constituencies in advance for dispatch of polling personnel. Similarly, it was asked to ensure the identification of suitable buildings for the housing of the Para Military Forces.
All the electoral officers were asked to be aware of the updated provisions after studying RO handbook and M3 EVM manuals in detail.
Koshang is being formed at the district level for election related work.
