Under this Jal Jeevan Hariyali Yojana, a dam will be built for the collection of water through pipelines in Ghorakatora under Ganga Jal Utpadan Yojana for drinking water under the action plan to carry water from surplus river water area to water scarcity areas. Under this scheme, keeping in mind the continuous decline in the ground water level in Bodh Gaya and Rajgir, Nawada cities, increasing population and important institutions and tourists from all over the country and abroad, the Ganga river water was brought in during the monsoon period. Between 4 months July to October, the horse bowl will be collected in the dam, then the same collected water will be treated by water plants and water will be distributed in these areas for the next 8 months.

In which people are struggling with the problem of drinking water during the summer days, the problem will be solved in these areas. The Water Resources Department is working on a plan to deliver Ganga water as drinking water to these places. Under this scheme, a pipeline will be laid along the roadside. A total of 190 km long pipeline will be laid through Marachi of Mokama to Sarmera, Barbigha to Giriak's horse bowl. Land acquisition officer Vikash Kumar said that farmers had already been given notice for the camp. The farmers who were present today with the land papers were paid compensation by check.
