Meeting on water life green campaign under the chairmanship of Nalanda District Officer, Yogendra Singh. 
(KHABRE TV - 9523505786) - A meeting was held today on the water life greenery campaign under the chairmanship of Yogendra Singh, District Officer, Nalanda.
Under this campaign, a target of planting 7.50 lakh trees has been set for the district in the current rainy season. Out of this, three lakh 7 thousand tree plantations will be done on the edges of various roads, dams and embankments etc. through MNREGA and the rest of the plantation through forest department, livelihood, agriculture, various road related departments, water resources department etc.
About 64 thousand fruitful plants will be planted under MNREGA under private gardening.
Roads under MNREGA will be planted on roads less than 5 km in length. On the roads of this length, plantation will be done in coordination with the Forest Department and the concerned road construction department. The work of digging the pit for plantation is being done.
Under this campaign, instructions were also given to the engineer of the minor irrigation department to take action for the creation of new water sources.
Instructions were given to the Health Department, Education Department and all municipal authorities to ensure the construction work as per the target set for the construction of rain water harvesting structure.
The Power Executive Engineer was instructed to conduct awareness campaign to encourage people for maximum use of solar energy. The Executive Engineer was also instructed to share information about measures by coordinating with various departments / offices to keep power consumption at minimum level.
To encourage organic farming and drip irrigation in the district, in addition to the departmental target, the direction of implementation was given to the District Agriculture Officer and District Horticulture Officer by encouraging more people.
Additional level collector, Deputy Development Commissioner, District Education Officer, District Fisheries Officer, Executive Engineer, Flood Control / Electricity / Building and others, District Horticulture Officer and other district level officials of other departments were present in the meeting.
