In order to promote the production and sale of vegetables, a primary vegetable cooperative society (PVCS) has been formed in each block through the cooperative department.
Surplus vegetables being produced by the member farmers of this society are being purchased through this committee. In case of excess quantity of vegetables, the state level union has to be made available for sale through the committee. Sale of vegetables in small quantities is to be done in the local vegetable market through the committee.

The District Officer expressed great displeasure over this.
