(KHABRE TV - 9334598481) - Divisional Commissioner, Patna, Mr. Sanjay Kumar Agrawal along with Principal / Superintendent of Patna Medical College and Hospital, Nalanda Medical College and Hospital and Vardhman Institute of Medical Sciences, Pawapuri, ensure smooth and sound treatment of Kovid-19 To conduct a review meeting through video conferencing and directed to bring qualitative improvement in healthcare and treatment of patients by making maximum use of existing resources in the hospital.


The commissioner directed to prepare ward-wise / bed-wise roster charts for doctors in medical colleges and to determine the responsibility by allocating work. Instructed to conduct continuous and effective monitoring of this work to the preferred nodal officer of the concerned medical college and directed to send a report about the doctor absent from duty. He asked the deputed doctor to go to the ward / bed of the patient every 3 hours and to make proper treatment of the patient by visiting regularly.

The Commissioner directed the monitoring of work of ANM / GNM nurses. For this, he was instructed to give proper training and to visit them at an interval of one and a half hours per ward.

He instructed to keep adequate and desirable medicines for patients in every medical colleges in adequate quantities and make them available to patients.

Two energetic and hard working doctors will be allocated the work of Deputy Superintendent for discharging the responsibility of management work of Pavpuri Medical College. Also, to fill the vacant post of the hospital manager, according to the rules, action should be started at the earliest.

Kovid-19 currently has 48 patients admitted to Pavpuri Medical College. It was informed in the meeting that the hospital has 100 beds, 14 ICU beds, 17 ventilators. So far 108 patients have recovered from the hospital and have gone back to their homes. The commissioner instructed civil surgeon Nalanda to provide cremation at the hospital.

He instructed to keep the control room active in all the medical colleges and deploy the shift personnel, to know the health of the patients every day and to register their problems / complaints after proper diagnosis. He directed the deputed Senior Nodal Officer of the Medical College and the concerned Sub-Divisional Officer to improve quality in the work by regular effective monitoring / inspection.

He instructed to install CCTV to bring qualitative improvement in the treatment system in medical colleges so that all the work of the hospital can be monitored.

In view of the situation of infection, the Commissioner directed to pay special attention to cleanliness within and outside each ward of the hospital and to ensure the work of sanitization regularly.

Every day patients admitted to the medical college will be talked on the phone from the control room and feedback will also be taken from them.

Regarding treatment in the hospital, constant review will be done by the concerned department head and treatment should be made available to the admitted patients in light of the updated parameters.

The superintendent and the principal should also conduct surprise inspections to ensure availability of doctors in the night shift.

The final year girl students of Islampur Nursing School will be attached to the medical college for training.

If the post-mortem facility is not yet started, the Divisional Commissioner directed the District Officer to review it and instructed to take all necessary steps to start it soon.

The video conferencing was attended by the Principal, Superintendent, Senior Nodal Officer and District Officer of the concerned district, Patna Medical College and Hospital, Nalanda Medical College and Hospital and Vardhman Institute of Medical Sciences.
