(KHABRE TV - 9334598481, 9523505786) - To bring positive changes in climate change, we have to be sensitive to environmental protection. Every person must plant trees to increase the green cover. Taking care of plants more important than tree planting is to nurture them as trees. Every family must plant at least one plant in the name of each of their children and these plants should be taken care of like their children and converted into trees. District Magistrate Yogendra Singh said these things today. He was addressing the people present at the closing ceremony of Mission 2.51 crore tree plantation and Van Mahotsav program organized at Police Line Biharsharif today.
The event was organized by the Forest Department.
On this occasion, Forest Division Officer Nalanda Neshamani K 0 said in her address that under the Jal Jeevan Hariyali Abhiyan, the target of planting 2.51 crore trees in the state of Bihar was set, which has been completed. In Nalanda district, more than 7.35 lakh trees have been planted, which is still going on. The MGNREGA and Jeevika have played a very important role in the successful implementation of this campaign along with the forest department. About 88 thousand saplings have also been planted under agricultural forestry. Many organizations like Mission Hariyali Noorsarai, Goraiya Conservation Campaign etc. have gone ahead in this campaign, which is quite commendable.
Sisterhoods of livelihood have also planted saplings in their homes and to keep these plants safe, siege has also been done on a large scale.
With the concerted efforts of all of us, we will be successful in our objective.
On this occasion, Superintendent of Police, Deputy Development Commissioner, Municipal Commissioner, Director Xu Safari Rajgir also stressed the need for conservation of environment in his address.
All the officials present on the spot planted a sapling on the side of the police line grounds. The program was launched by lighting the lamp. The District Officer administered the 11-point oath to the people on environmental protection.
