District officials held meeting with Nalanda Chamber of Commerce and wholesalers to maintain supply of essential commodities
Today, District Officer Yogendra Singh held a meeting with the Nalanda Chamber of Commerce and Industries and wholesalers of the city to maintain the supply of essential materials during the lock-down period applicable to prevent the spread of Novel Corona virus.
At the meeting, one-on-one information was taken from all the people about the difficulties faced in the supply of essential commodities.
The businessmen present informed about the difficulties being faced in the movement of personnel and laborers associated with the operation and business of vehicles in the supply of materials.
In this context, it was decided that vehicles, drivers and other personnel engaged in the supply and delivery of services and materials exempted from lock-down will be issued separately.
Vehicles and personnel operating inside the city will be given passes at the level of the concerned ward member. Vehicles and attached personnel operating inside the district will be given a pass / identity card at the level of the concerned marketing officer. Vehicles operating outside the district will be issued near the level of the District Supply Officer.
In this regard, all marketing officers were instructed to obtain a list of operating vehicles, drivers and business related personnel / workers from all businessmen. After getting the list, the pass will be made available to the concerned businessmen by issuing a pass from the competent level.
The vehicle pass issued will have to be affixed to the vehicle concerned. Passes issued to drivers, personnel and workers will have to be kept with the concerned person.
All the businessmen were requested to make them aware of the arrangement of keeping the customers at a safe distance by marking the lime near the shop for sale of materials to the retail shopkeepers.
The District Officer said that the aim of all is to maintain social distancing. While maintaining this, needy people leave the houses for necessary materials.
The administration will act strictly against the people who roam unnecessarily.
The meeting was attended by wholesale businessmen of various essential commodities including Deputy Development Commissioner, Municipal Commissioner, Director DRDA, Subdivisional Officer Bihar Sharif, Subdivision Police Officer Bihar Sharif, District Supply Officer, Nalanda Chambers of Commerce and Industry Chairman Anil Kumar Akela.
