Under the Jal Jeevan Hariyali Abhiyan, the State Government has decided to celebrate the first Tuesday of every month as Jala Jeevan Hariyali Day. This event is being organized in all government offices, schools and colleges. Earlier today, Jeevan Jeevan Hariyali Divas was organized in all government offices and schools.
The district level program was organized at Town Hall Karpoori Bhavan, Bihar Sharif. On the occasion of the first Jal Jeevan Hariyali Divas, the topic of promoting solar energy usage and promoting energy saving was discussed and people were motivated in this regard.
The district level program was inaugurated by the District Officer by lighting the lamp. On this occasion, the artists of Kala Jatha also gave a message of awareness through song music based on water life greenery. A short film based on Jal Jeevan Hariyali, written by Rajiv Ranjan, resident of Nalanda district was also featured in the program.

While highlighting the importance of solar energy and energy saving in his address, the district officer said that this campaign can be truly successful only when every person of the society is aware of environmental protection.
He said that in ordinary life, we can save energy by taking care of small things. He asked all the people present at the program to use electrically operated equipment of Bureau of Energy Efficiency standard. Said to have the habit of switching off electrically powered appliances like bulb / fan / computer / TV etc. when not necessary in the home or office. With these habits, each person can save energy in the home or office. The sum of the energy saved by all the individuals will be extensive, due to which a considerable amount of energy can be saved.
He administered a pledge to all the people present in the program to try to save at least 3 units of electricity every month.



He said that the tradition of offering saplings on occasions like birthdays, wedding anniversaries, etc. should be made. For this purpose, the District Officer presented a sapling on the occasion of his birthday to the District Traffic Development Officer Pankaj Paswan today.
In the program, the nodal officer of Jal Jeevan Hariyali-cum- Director DRDA Santosh Shrivastava also gave detailed information about the importance of renewable energy and utility of energy savings and also motivated people for this.

On this occasion, Deputy Development Commissioner, Director DRDA, District Public Grievance Redressal Officer, Sub-Divisional Officer, Bihar Sharif, District Education Officer, District level officers of various departments and personnel of various district level offices were present.
