A review meeting of land acquisition / land-related matters was held today under the chairmanship of District Officer Yogendra Singh.
The work of the northern part of Biharsharif's new under-construction bypass is being done by the Path Division Bihar Sharif. Work has been blocked due to a dispute over land at two or three places in this section. The District Officer directed the Sub-Divisional Officer Bihar Sharif to ensure the disposal of these cases without delay. Black top work has also been started in this section of the bypass from Wednesday. While accelerating the work, the District Officer directed the Executive Engineer Path Division Bihar Sharif to complete the work by 31 March.
Nalanda Islampur Path, Ekangar Sarai Bypass, Islampur Bypass and Hilsa Bypass are being constructed by the Path Division Hilsa. Tender has been taken out at Ekangar Sarai bypass. For this, the District Land Acquisition Officer was directed to ensure prompt payment of compensation related to land acquisition. Executive Engineer Path Division Hilsa was directed to complete the work of all projects within the stipulated time frame.
Land acquisition is being done for the construction of a reservoir in Ghora bowl under the Ganga Jal Udav scheme. To update the land records of the land holders, the District Officer directed to set up a special camp at the site. On the basis of updated land records, payment of compensation to land holders will be ensured. Under this project, the Executive Engineer Irrigation Division was directed to obtain approval of Right of Way for the prescribed route for laying pipeline.
Instructions were given to Executive Engineer Rural Works Department Division Divisional Rajgir to complete the construction work of Rajgir Degree College by March 17.
Wherever there is a problem with the land in the work of cemetery and temple siege, instructions were given to the concerned Sub-Divisional Officer and Sub-Divisional Police Officer to ensure speedy redressal.
The District Officer clearly stated that the project work should not be interrupted due to a minor problem related to the land. In such cases, the concerned sub-divisional officer should take immediate action and resolve the problem so that the project work can be completed in time.
All the sub-divisional officers, District Land Acquisition Officer, Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Land Reform Deputy Collector, Executive Engineer, Road Construction Department / Rural Works Department / Local Area Engineering Organization and other officials were present in the meeting.
